A wasted opportunity for Burnsville. Columbus Martinez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Columbus Martinez, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 17 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Prosper Osborn was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Antoine Gareau took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Prosper Osborn. Richmond's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Columbus Martinez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Burnsville's supporters rose to their feet, but Columbus Martinez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Prosper Osborn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rueben Racicot's late challenge caught a Richmond's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rueben Racicot helped the player get up and apologised. Rueben Racicot kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute of the match, Claude Rushing got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eusebio Purcell was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Richmond's goalkeeper Prosper Osborn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Richmond getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Jérôme Rodgers hit a great ball. Bruce Bates sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 35 played minutes Burnsville got a freekick which was hit by Rueben Racicot. Bruce Bates struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. The wind increased when Bruce Bates made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claude Rushing in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eusebio Purcell saved Burnsville from getting behind. Columbus Martinez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Prosper Osborn having to make a save. Claude Rushing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Eusebio Purcell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Gail Stoddard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rayford Ewing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Rayford Ewing got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Burnsville's goal looked a bit too open when Claude Rushing came free, but Eusebio Purcell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gail Stoddard was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Gail Stoddard hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Prosper Osborn made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Columbus Martinez sent off a good shot on target. When Columbus Martinez came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Burnsville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Columbus Martinez couldn't finish the play. 90 minutes into the game, Rueben Racicot recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Prosper Osborn. Rueben Racicot showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. In the 93rd minute, Columbus Martinez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rayford Ewing in the 95th minute of play forced Richmond's goalkeeper Prosper Osborn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute, Jamie Richard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Richmond fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Burnsville were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
