Lance LaCaille made an important save on a dangerous shot by Columbus Martinez in the 13th minute. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Yarmouth FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tom Milligan was slow to take the kick. During this time Burnsville's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Tom Milligan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lance LaCaille quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Eusebio Purcell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Sewell, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 24thth minute of the game Rayford Ewing who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yarmouth FC's Lance LaCaille was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Chester Barbour fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yarmouth FC's protests and gave Chester Barbour a yellow card for diving instead. Chester Barbour hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Lance LaCaille showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rayford Ewing in the 32nd minute of the match. Mario Sewell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Eusebio Purcell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lance LaCaille made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Columbus Martinez sent off a good shot on target. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yarmouth FC's goalkeeper Lance LaCaille, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rémi Bishop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusebio Purcell having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rayford Ewing to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Mario Sewell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yarmouth FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Sewell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rayford Ewing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Lance LaCaille tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Burnsville's Eusebio Purcell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Burnsville from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Yarmouth FC's zone, Columbus Martinez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lance LaCaille came out of the goal and Columbus Martinez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 73 minutes into the game, Bruno Hampton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Burnsville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yarmouth FC the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rayford Ewing in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lance LaCaille prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Burnsville's Columbus Martinez got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Burnsville's Rayford Ewing, in the 87th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Burnsville. A collision led to Burnsville getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Rayford Ewing hit a great ball. Yarmouth FC's Rémi Bishop got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Burnsville fans cheered their team off the field, for while Yarmouth FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
