Seating: 1714, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bruce Bates kicked off to start the match. If Claude Rushing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prosper Osborn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Quentin Belanger in the 9th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Nominingue's Alden Foreman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Prosper Osborn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Richmond's zone, Quentin Belanger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prosper Osborn came out of the goal and Quentin Belanger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Quentin Belanger got free with Prosper Osborn in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Claude Rushing recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Nominingue defense, Bruce Bates kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Renato Hamlin. The Nominingue fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Renato Hamlin should have stopped the shot. Alden Foreman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Prosper Osborn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alden Foreman in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jamie Richard in the 30th minute of play forced Nominingue's goalkeeper Renato Hamlin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alden Foreman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alden Foreman struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Prosper Osborn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nominingue. In the 46th match minute, Richmond was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carol Yazzie to maneuver through the defense. Alden Foreman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Prosper Osborn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alden Foreman made a kick off. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nominingue's goalkeeper Renato Hamlin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Claude Rushing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quentin Belanger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prosper Osborn having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 82nd minute by Bruce Bates got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Richmond's Prosper Osborn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burl Covillon in the 95th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
