After a rather tough play, Heaslip AFC's Lauren McDermott got a free kick in the 15th minute. Seth Dodge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jospeh Reeder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roger Jimenez might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Seth Dodge. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roger Jimenez ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sylvestre McCann during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Hectanooga FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Sylvestre McCann hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, Sylvestre McCann notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Heaslip AFC's Seth Dodge. Seth Dodge was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jospeh Reeder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Seth Dodge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roger Jimenez scored 1-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Seth Dodge, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Heaslip AFC's Colombe Villeneuve got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the match, Heaslip AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jospeh Reeder came free, but Seth Dodge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Heaslip AFC defense, Roger Jimenez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Seth Dodge. The Heaslip AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Seth Dodge should have stopped the shot. Sylvestre McCann kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Roger Jimenez got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jospeh Reeder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Seth Dodge having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Colby Altman during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Heaslip AFC's zone, Jospeh Reeder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Seth Dodge came out of the goal and Jospeh Reeder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Ernie Link managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Heaslip AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernie Link was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Judson Laliberté sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
