In the 4th match minute, Hectanooga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cyrille Orr to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the match, Hectanooga FC's goalkeeper Clay Rosales had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ira Nash. Darius Cullen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roger Jimenez went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of Hectanooga FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Palling AFC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 10 minutes, Palling AFC's Lavern McCarthy got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Clay Rosales. Roger Jimenez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darius Cullen having to interfere. Clay Rosales stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Blair Sawyer's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kermit Stockton during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 32 played minutes Hectanooga FC got a freekick which was hit by Kermit Stockton. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Blair Sawyer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palling AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Blair Sawyer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clay Rosales breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Darius Cullen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Jimenez in the 36th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Blair Sawyer took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Clay Rosales to make any attempt to save it. Jospeh Reeder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darius Cullen having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Rodrick Madsen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palling AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrick Madsen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clay Rosales breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Jospeh Reeder made the kick off in the second half. Rodrick Madsen charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodrick Madsen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rodrick Madsen hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. When Jospeh Reeder got free in front of the goal in the 54th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Darius Cullen was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Clay Rosales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blair Sawyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Sylvestre McCann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ira Nash sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The attack was good, but when Blair Sawyer in the 63rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 66th minute there was a penalty for Palling AFC. Lavern McCarthy stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Clay Rosales. 3-1. 74 minutes into the game, Hectanooga FC's Cyrille Orr nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Darius Cullen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. With an all-out effort, Hectanooga FC's Darius Cullen threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jospeh Reeder, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Roger Jimenez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hectanooga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roger Jimenez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clay Rosales showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrick Madsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When Hectanooga FC's Jospeh Reeder in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palling AFC's goalie prevented a goal. If Ira Nash had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hectanooga FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
