Spectators: 6725 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Quinn Bisaillon started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes Heaslip AFC got a freekick which was hit by Judson Laliberté. An unexpectedly hard shot by Judson Laliberté in the 8th minute of play forced Peterborough FC's goalkeeper Guy Huntley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernie Link in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Guy Huntley, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Guy Huntley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Judson Laliberté in the 15th minute of the match. In the 20th minute of the match Alex Bloom shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guy Huntley showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 22 minutes into the game, Ernie Link cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Guy Huntley was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Judson Laliberté received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Guy Huntley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernie Link kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. When Terrell Butts fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peterborough FC's protests and gave Terrell Butts a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th match minute, Peterborough FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Terrell Butts to maneuver through the defense. Seth Dodge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lyman Carignan, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Judson Laliberté was the one to do the kick off. Heaslip AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Clemente Martin in the 54th minute. Ken Caron was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Nazaire Mireault kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Ernie Link sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ernie Link had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Quinn Bisaillon in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Seth Dodge prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Quinn Bisaillon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Peterborough FC's Quinn Bisaillon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Seth Dodge narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Judson Laliberté recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Peterborough FC's Allan Regan got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 83rd minute, Ernie Link made a precise shot to the right of Guy Huntley. Peterborough FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Guy Huntley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernie Link in the 87th minute of play. Colombe Villeneuve received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Guy Huntley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Heaslip AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
