Bradford Hughes in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marty Byrne, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 8 minutes into the match, Ouimet's goal looked a bit too open when Rory Herrington came free, but Marty Byrne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Williams Wooten struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Marty Byrne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rockport FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kirk Downs in the 13th minute of play forced Ouimet's goalkeeper Marty Byrne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute Rory Herrington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marty Byrne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Williams Wooten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rory Herrington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the game, Michale Barrios was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ouimet's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rockport FC the free kick. Rory Herrington received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Marty Byrne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ouimet's Jefferson Hadley got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 41 minutes, Bradford Hughes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rockport FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bradford Hughes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rory Herrington struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Marty Byrne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rockport FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jefferson Hadley in the 48th minute of play forced Rockport FC's goalkeeper Ernie Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bradford Hughes to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ouimet's goalkeeper Marty Byrne, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 58 minutes into the match, Ouimet's goal looked a bit too open when Quinton Pollock came free, but Marty Byrne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marty Byrne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quinton Pollock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bradford Hughes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bradford Hughes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Marty Byrne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Pons Nielsen made a precise shot to the right of Ernie Lara. Rockport FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Marty Byrne came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Rockport FC's Rory Herrington. But to his dismay, Rory Herrington quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Marty Byrne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradford Hughes in the 76th minute of play. Quinton Pollock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute Rory Herrington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marty Byrne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernie Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jefferson Hadley in the 84th minute of the match. Bradford Hughes struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Marty Byrne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rockport FC. Rockport FC's Williams Wooten got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Kirk Downs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Rory Herrington got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rory Herrington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marty Byrne having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Rockport FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
