If Peter Zimmerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sexsmith's Moses Tharp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Zimmerman in the 7th minute of play. Moses Tharp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Zimmerman, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Vincenzo Brodeur struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Moses Tharp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carmel AFC. Vincenzo Brodeur kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Joël Bragg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Joseph Akins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moses Tharp came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Carmel AFC's Vincenzo Brodeur. But to his dismay, Vincenzo Brodeur quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A collision led to Carmel AFC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Peter Zimmerman hit a great ball. Louis Siegel kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Calvin Lacasse recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vincenzo Brodeur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joseph Akins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Calvin Lacasse's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Joël Bragg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Joseph Akins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Calvin Lacasse to strike the kick off in the second half. When Louis Siegel fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carmel AFC's protests and gave Louis Siegel a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Carmel AFC's Louis Siegel got a free kick in the 54th minute. Joël Bragg scored 1-2 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joseph Akins, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joël Bragg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Joseph Akins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Carmel AFC fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Carmel AFC's Vincenzo Brodeur looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Calvin Lacasse struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Joseph Akins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joël Bragg in the 96th minute. Sexsmith were awarded a corner in the 98th minute after Carmel AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jamal Stovall took the corner. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
