The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Royal Lane stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clair Brewster's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Dieppe's Nelson Trudeau tried to score from far away in the 7th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 9th match minute, Robertson FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clarence Gougeon to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the game, one of Dieppe:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 13th minute, the referee gave Robertson FC a penalty. Simon Woodruff looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Broderick Ritter. After a defensive mix-up in Robertson FC's zone, Daryl Brunson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Royal Lane came out of the goal and Daryl Brunson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nolan Shaffer in the 31st minute of play forced Dieppe's goalkeeper Broderick Ritter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 2-0 became the score in the 34th minute when Nolan Shaffer elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ermenegilde Moser could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Broderick Ritter made a huge save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Dieppe:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Robertson FC:s goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nolan Shaffer in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Broderick Ritter saved Dieppe from getting behind. After 53 minutes, Winston McCullough mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dieppe and the Robertson FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Ermenegilde Moser put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Broderick Ritter. Broderick Ritter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermenegilde Moser in the 59th minute of the match. Robertson FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Dieppe for a fine match.
