After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Loic Bizier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merle Burrows breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 25 minutes, Jason Hargrove managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kangerthialuksoak AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jason Hargrove was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ignace Griffith kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Patrick Garnier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sydney Guillory's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mel Lejeune read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute, Jason Hargrove left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kangerthialuksoak AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After the first half Kangerthialuksoak AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patrick Garnier was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes, Terrence Pelchat mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chesterfield AFC and the Kangerthialuksoak AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Sydney Guillory kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mel Lejeune. That made the score 0-3 in the 53 minute of play. Kangerthialuksoak AFC's Merle Burrows played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Garnier in the 57th minute of play. After 58 played minutes Kangerthialuksoak AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ignace Griffith. When Chesterfield AFC's Patrick Garnier in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kangerthialuksoak AFC's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Chesterfield AFC's zone, Jason Hargrove stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mel Lejeune came out of the goal and Jason Hargrove tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chesterfield AFC's goalkeeper Mel Lejeune, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sydney Guillory in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mel Lejeune prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 77 minutes into the game, Patrick Garnier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Merle Burrows was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mel Lejeune made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jason Hargrove in the 82nd minute. A collision led to Chesterfield AFC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Terrence Pelchat hit a great ball. In the 84th minute, Jason Hargrove got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kangerthialuksoak AFC played a much better game than Chesterfield AFC and deserved their victory. The Chesterfield AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
