Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Edwardsville's Jarvis Richards started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Cumberland defense, Jarvis Richards kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilton Smalls. The Cumberland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilton Smalls should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Alexandre Rosario put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Noe Yost. In the 11th match minute, Edwardsville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Riquet to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the game, Alexandre Rosario recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Noe Yost. Alexandre Rosario showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Cumberland's Wilton Smalls played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarvis Richards in the 18th minute of play. Alexandre Rosario's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Noe Yost read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roger Riquet during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Cumberland booed when Edwardsville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Riquet didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Edwardsville's goalkeeper Noe Yost had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herschel Strange. A hard shot 24 in the game by Herschel Strange from a close distance when the talented Noe Yost managed to make a qualified save. Edwardsville's players were relieved. Alexandre Rosario blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Noe Yost having to make a save. Herschel Strange fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noe Yost having to interfere. After taking down the ball on Cumberland's corner Brian Solomon fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Noe Yost quite easily take care of the ball. Arden Martinez kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. If Alexandre Rosario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alexandre Rosario to strike the kick off in the second half. When Cumberland's Alexandre Rosario in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Edwardsville's goalie prevented a goal. In the 56th minute, Alexandre Rosario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Noe Yost took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Rosario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th match minute, Edwardsville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dwain Cowan to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the match, Alexandre Rosario notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Edwardsville's Noe Yost. Noe Yost was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 74th minute, Alexandre Rosario made a precise shot to the right of Noe Yost. Edwardsville's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Herschel Strange managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cumberland's supporters rose to their feet, but Herschel Strange was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Noe Yost breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arden Martinez got free with Wilton Smalls in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 89 minutes, Arden Martinez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Edwardsville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arden Martinez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edwardsville's Jarvis Richards got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Rosario in the 93rd minute of play forced Edwardsville's goalkeeper Noe Yost to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Herschel Strange had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Cumberland getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Ken Bartlett hit a great ball. Cumberland's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
