Walter Gregoire kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Antony Addison took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Austin Dennis to make any attempt to save it. If Sébastien Dennis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Winfred Gladu got free with Austin Dennis in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sébastien Dennis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Rodrigo Barbour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Austin Dennis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Winfred Gladu in the 20th minute. Austin Dennis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antony Addison in the 25th minute of play. Sébastien Dennis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 53 played minutes Québec FC got a freekick which was hit by Lauren Rosen. 55 minutes into the match, Québec FC's goal looked a bit too open when Antony Addison came free, but Austin Dennis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Québec FC defense, Winfred Gladu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Austin Dennis. The Québec FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Austin Dennis should have stopped the shot. Sébastien Dennis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Barbour having to interfere.
