Hobert England showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quincy McCall, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Edmund Sexton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aron Clinton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Tanner Major could shoot a difficult shot in the 24th minute, which Edmund Sexton however easily saved by the left post. In the 29th minute, Quincy McCall made a precise shot to the right of Hobert England. Sicamous's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Tanner Major sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Quincy McCall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th match minute, Madawaska FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Burt Helton to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Madawaska FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aron Clinton to make the kick off. Laurent Bartley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hobert England having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Sicamous's Aron Clinton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edmund Sexton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Burt Helton hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tanner Major in the 59th minute of play forced Madawaska FC's goalkeeper Edmund Sexton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Madawaska FC's Edmund Sexton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aron Clinton in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute Aron Clinton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmund Sexton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Sicamous booed when Madawaska FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernie Cartwright didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nelson Ezell took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edmund Sexton. Madawaska FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Laurent Bartley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quincy McCall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hobert England having to interfere. Quincy McCall did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Hobert England 82 minutes into the match. In the 94th play minute Laurent Bartley came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Hobert England. 0-3. Madawaska FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
