Constantin Garnier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quincy McCall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17thth minute of the game Jérémie Kent who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Madawaska FC's Edmund Sexton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 18th match minute, Foymount FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keneth Kenny to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quincy McCall in the 22nd minute of play forced Foymount FC's goalkeeper Constantin Garnier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The wind increased when Homer Horner made the kick off in the second half. Edmund Sexton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Homer Horner in the 59th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Homer Horner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmund Sexton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Madawaska FC's Edmund Sexton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Madawaska FC from getting a goal against them. Jérémie Kent hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute of the match Jerrold Kiser shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Constantin Garnier showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Edmund Sexton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iréné Caron in the 77th minute of play. A collision led to Foymount FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Keneth Kenny hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the game, Laurent Bartley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Madawaska FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Foymount FC the free kick. After 83 played minutes Madawaska FC got a freekick which was hit by Laurent Bartley. After a rather tough play, Madawaska FC's Bernie Cartwright got a free kick in the 95th minute. Shelby Delong, 96 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The Foymount FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Foymount FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
