Carol Oliver stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Branden Irvin's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Leopoldo Navarro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Branden Irvin in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carol Oliver prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 22 minutes, Simon Welch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Janeville AFC and the Mattice players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Simon Welch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th match minute, Janeville AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Léonce Colvin to maneuver through the defense. Mattice's Leopoldo Navarro got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Branden Irvin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Janeville AFC's Joseph Hillman in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mattice's goalie prevented a goal. Leopoldo Navarro might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carol Oliver. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leopoldo Navarro ran back to his position shaking his head. John Cornett didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joseph Hillman went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After the first half Janeville AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leopoldo Navarro to make the kick off. John Cornett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rudolf Guzman in the 56th minute. When Joseph Hillman came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Janeville AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joseph Hillman couldn't finish the play. In the 70th match minute, Janeville AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Welch to maneuver through the defense. Rudolf Guzman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Cornett having to interfere. 79 minutes in the game, Rudolf Guzman fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without John Cornett having to interfere. Bobby Bergeron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Cornett having to interfere. Joseph Hillman struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. John Cornett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Janeville AFC.
