The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute, Iréné Caron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Québec FC defense, Iréné Caron kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Austin Dennis. The Québec FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Austin Dennis should have stopped the shot. In the 22nd minute, Homer Horner reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Austin Dennis. The goal made the score 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Sébastien Dennis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Québec FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sébastien Dennis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Constantin Garnier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th minute, Sébastien Dennis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Constantin Garnier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sébastien Dennis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Sébastien Dennis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Foymount FC's goalkeeper Constantin Garnier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After having played for 52 minutes, Sébastien Dennis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Québec FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sébastien Dennis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Foymount FC booed when Québec FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustave Hughes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Québec FC's Christian Zepeda was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Constantin Garnier in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Christian Zepeda missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 83 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Constantin Garnier right hand side. In the 85th minute, Québec FC's Sébastien Dennis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Constantin Garnier. Constantin Garnier yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Art Kuhn's late challenge caught a Québec FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Art Kuhn helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th minute, Art Kuhn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sébastien Dennis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Constantin Garnier having to interfere. Québec FC's Gustave Hughes got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sébastien Dennis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Foymount FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
