Spectators: 6731 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 0) Brian Gray started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 2nd match minute, DeWette was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chong Bergeron to maneuver through the defense. Barrett Watts made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Rudolf Guzman sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dan Hastings during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in DeWette fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 7th minute. Penalty! If Joseph Hillman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Domingo Rowe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Janeville AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Danilo Keyes in the 15th minute. Janeville AFC's Carol Oliver played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Gray in the 19th minute of play. Rainier Mays kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Danilo Keyes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 24th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Barrett Watts made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Rudolf Guzman sent off a good shot on target. Rudolf Guzman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Barrett Watts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barrett Watts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joseph Hillman's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After 30 minutes of play, DeWette's Gerald Ruel made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carol Oliver was left in no man's land by his defense there! The DeWette fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when DeWette's Brian Gray looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Joseph Hillman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute of the game, Simon Welch landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Rainier Mays hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After the first half DeWette were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Rudolf Guzman made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, DeWette was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Morris Watkins to maneuver through the defense. Janeville AFC's Carol Oliver proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Janeville AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 68th minute, Gerald Ruel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carol Oliver showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brian Gray in the 72nd minute of the match. After having played for 80 minutes, Gerald Ruel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DeWette's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerald Ruel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Rudolf Guzman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Emory Goddu notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of DeWette's Barrett Watts. Barrett Watts was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
