Spectators: 6736 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1736, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. John Zoolingen started the match with the kick off. Frances Vance showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Titus Broussard, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute Clemente Blanco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frances Vance saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nicolas Barrière had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colpton FC's Warren Allen got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling John Zoolingen in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frances Vance prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Titus Broussard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 minutes, Arturo Faucher mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colpton FC and the Chevaliers de Québec players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th match minute, Colpton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Faucher to maneuver through the defense. After 18th play minutes John Zoolingen shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Frances Vance and just under the crossbar into goal. Titus Broussard struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Frances Vance didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chevaliers de Québec. Warren Allen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jay McDonough having to interfere. John Zoolingen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Frances Vance tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Colpton FC's Cedrick Talley got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After some careless play in the Chevaliers de Québec defense, Hyman Richter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jay McDonough. The Chevaliers de Québec fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jay McDonough should have stopped the shot. Norman Villanueva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Frances Vance tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Colpton FC's goal looked a bit too open when John Zoolingen came free, but Frances Vance reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Theo Guilmette kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After having played for 74 minutes, Clemente Blanco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chevaliers de Québec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clemente Blanco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frances Vance was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and John Zoolingen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. John Zoolingen really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Warren Allen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Jay McDonough tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chevaliers de Québec's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
