Spectators: 6732 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Branden Irvin started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mattice's goalkeeper John Cornett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Madawaska FC's Quincy McCall got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st minute Quincy McCall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Cornett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laurent Bartley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmund Sexton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Branden Irvin in the 27th minute of play. Leopoldo Navarro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Edmund Sexton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31stth minute of the game Branden Irvin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Madawaska FC's Edmund Sexton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mattice's John Cornett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Mattice from getting a goal against them. 35 minutes into the match, Madawaska FC's goal looked a bit too open when Branden Irvin came free, but Edmund Sexton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Navarro in the 36th minute of play forced Madawaska FC's goalkeeper Edmund Sexton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 40 minutes, Leopoldo Navarro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mattice's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leopoldo Navarro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Madawaska FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Navarro came free, but Edmund Sexton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44thth minute of the game Leopoldo Navarro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Madawaska FC's Edmund Sexton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edmund Sexton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Branden Irvin in the 47th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Quincy McCall made the kick off in the second half. Branden Irvin kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. John Cornett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Quincy McCall's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. If Laurent Bartley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laurent Bartley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Bernie Cartwright fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Madawaska FC's protests and gave Bernie Cartwright a yellow card for diving instead. After 66 played minutes Madawaska FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernie Cartwright. Branden Irvin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmund Sexton having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Quincy McCall in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg John Cornett saved Mattice from getting behind. Laurent Bartley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clemente Asselin during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Clemente Asselin kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Quincy McCall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 82 minutes, Laurent Bartley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Madawaska FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laurent Bartley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 90 minutes into the game, Madawaska FC's Quincy McCall nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. John Cornett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Laurent Bartley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute.
