Carol Oliver made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iréné Caron in the 3rd minute. 4 minutes into the match, Janeville AFC's goalkeeper Carol Oliver had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iréné Caron. Constantin Garnier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joseph Hillman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Foymount FC's zone, Rudolf Guzman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Constantin Garnier came out of the goal and Rudolf Guzman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 17 minutes of play, Janeville AFC's Joseph Hillman made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Constantin Garnier was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 21st minute, Foymount FC's Homer Horner dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. If Joseph Hillman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Homer Horner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carol Oliver having to interfere. In the 37th minute Rudolf Guzman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantin Garnier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Constantin Garnier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudolf Guzman in the 38th minute of play. The supporters of Janeville AFC booed when Foymount FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jérémie Kent didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iréné Carons short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Carol Oliver to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Iréné Caron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carol Oliver having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Homer Horner was the one to do the kick off. Homer Horner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carol Oliver having to interfere. After some careless play in the Janeville AFC defense, Homer Horner kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carol Oliver. The Janeville AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carol Oliver should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jérémie Kent during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Rudolf Guzman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Janeville AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rudolf Guzman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Constantin Garnier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Constantin Garnier made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Rudolf Guzman sent off a good shot on target. In the 79th minute, Jérémie Kent hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carol Oliver didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Homer Horner went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. If Art Kuhn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 played minutes Janeville AFC got a freekick which was hit by Simon Welch. Foymount FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
