After a defensive mix-up in Chevaliers de Québec's zone, Wilfredo Flores stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jay McDonough came out of the goal and Wilfredo Flores tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 15 minutes, Émilien Manley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sicamous and the Chevaliers de Québec players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th match minute, Sicamous was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Émilien Manley to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 16 minutes, Titus Broussard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chevaliers de Québec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Titus Broussard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. John Zoolingen ran back to his position shaking his head. Sicamous's Hobert England proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Sicamous from getting a goal against them. 40 minutes into the match, Titus Broussard dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hobert England, 1-0. Norman Villanueva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. John Zoolingen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hobert England having to make a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell John Zoolingen to make the kick off. Hobert England came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Chevaliers de Québec's John Zoolingen. But to his dismay, John Zoolingen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Wilfredo Flores's late challenge caught a Chevaliers de Québec's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilfredo Flores helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sicamous's Wilfredo Flores got a free kick in the 54th minute. Hobert England showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Titus Broussard, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Johnathan Beck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Clemente Blanco managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Chevaliers de Québec fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Chevaliers de Québec's John Zoolingen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sicamous's goalkeeper Hobert England, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 80th minute, Aron Clinton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chevaliers de Québec's Doug Corbett got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. John Zoolingen struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Hobert England didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chevaliers de Québec. Chevaliers de Québec's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
