The referee ignored Hectanooga's protests and gave Kurtis Mock a yellow card for diving instead. After 35 played minutes Hectanooga got a freekick which was hit by Kurtis Mock. It was a well-played corner which Esteban Kirkpatrick managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Dirk Aponte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee ignored Hectanooga's protests and gave Ermenegilde Babcock a yellow card for diving instead.
