Spectators: 6740 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1740, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dusty Cannon started the match with the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 7th minute by Darrell Samuel got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Nordegg's Dusty Cannon got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 12 minutes in the game, Dusty Cannon fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Sang McLaughlin having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bretona's Rueben Lavoie got a free kick in the 19th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Nordegg's Adolph Casey tried to score from far away in the 20th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Nordegg getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Kraig Chesnay hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute, Cedric Lemaître left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bretona fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cedric Lemaître in the 27th minute of play forced Nordegg's goalkeeper Ronald Goff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronald Goff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael McDaniel in the 30th minute of the match. Cedric Lemaître received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Ronald Goff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, Nordegg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jordan Rice to maneuver through the defense. In the 48thth minute of the game Dusty Cannon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bretona's Sang McLaughlin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cedric Lemaître to strike the kick off in the second half. Ronald Goff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cedric Lemaître in the 54th minute of play. If Dusty Cannon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kraig Chesnay's late challenge caught a Bretona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kraig Chesnay helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in Nordegg's zone, Ismael McDaniel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronald Goff came out of the goal and Ismael McDaniel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 85 played minutes Nordegg got a freekick which was hit by Dusty Cannon. Darrell Samuel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
