Peterbell's Cletus Regan suffered a sore thigh after 11 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Reinaldo Devoe, 13 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Burt Gervais blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nigel Veilleux having to make a save. Burt Gervais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nigel Veilleux having to interfere. Paschal Noël's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dillon Blanton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. With a little luck, Downsview's Nigel Veilleux got control of the ball when Burt Gervais tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dillon Blanton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paschal Noël, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shon Hurt charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Shon Hurt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Shon Hurt kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Burt Gervais who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Nigel Veilleux when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Burt Gervais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th match minute, Downsview was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harley Carlisle to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute Barton Werner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dillon Blanton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dillon Blanton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paschal Noël, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 47 played minutes, Downsview's Harley Carlisle shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dillon Blanton came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Downsview reached it. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Barton Werner in the 58th minute of play forced Peterbell's goalkeeper Dillon Blanton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dillon Blanton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paschal Noël in the 59th minute. In the 61st minute Barton Werner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dillon Blanton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paschal Noël sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nigel Veilleux showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raleigh Skinner in the 68th minute of the match. Peterbell's Burt Gervais got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Burt Gervais struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Nigel Veilleux didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peterbell. Barton Werner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Barton Werner dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dillon Blanton, 1-2. After a rather tough play, Peterbell's Adrien Sprague got a free kick in the 95th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Peterbell's zone, Barton Werner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dillon Blanton came out of the goal and Barton Werner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Downsview players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
