NİNNAS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rory Stratton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Leon Nadeau made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes NİNNAS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Louis Cote who took care of the corner kick. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Leon Nadeau put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ben Cooke. In the 83rd minute, Filiberto Lachapelle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leon Nadeau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Leon Nadeau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hectanooga's supporters rose to their feet, but Leon Nadeau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ben Cooke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hectanooga fans cheered their team off the field, for while NİNNAS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
