The crowd rose to their feet as Bretona's Ismael McDaniel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mariano Hager. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. Turbine's Mariano Hager played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael McDaniel in the 24th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Mathis Crump's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sang McLaughlin was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Luc Shaffer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Hager having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Ismael McDaniel took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Mariano Hager to make any attempt to save it. Sang McLaughlin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathis Crump, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ismael McDaniel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mathis Crump could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Sang McLaughlin made a huge save. Sang McLaughlin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Turbine. The supporters of Bretona booed when Turbine was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Pomerleau didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ismael McDaniel came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Bretona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ismael McDaniel couldn't finish the play. 66 minutes into the match, Bretona's goal looked a bit too open when Neville Saucier came free, but Sang McLaughlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mathis Crump had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Turbine's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
