The Sirdar fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Sirdar's Gautier Landis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Yale getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Jon Ledford hit a great ball. Ethan Harrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 15 minutes into the match, Franklin Bourget dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Leonardo Lapierre, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbert Lee in the 19th minute of play forced Yale's goalkeeper Mohammad Hartley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sirdar's Leonardo Lapierre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Sirdar from getting a goal against them. 25 minutes into the match, Yale's Franklin Bourget sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonardo Lapierre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Yale booed when Sirdar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Merrill Ballard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marc Estrada hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After 32 minutes, Josh Saunders mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yale and the Sirdar players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Yale getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Josh Saunders hit a great ball. In the 38th minute, Victor Sicard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Herbert Lee's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mohammad Hartley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Josh Saunders kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. In the 48th minute, Herbert Lee left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sirdar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The Yale players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sirdar were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Franklin Bourget to make the kick off. Sirdar's Gautier Landis got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mohammad Hartley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gautier Landis in the 61st minute of play. Herbert Lee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Mohammad Hartley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Herbert Lee got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Gautier Landis took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Mohammad Hartley to make any attempt to save it. If Franklin Bourget had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sirdar's Leonardo Lapierre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ethan Harrell in the 73rd minute of play. Herbert Lee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Mohammad Hartley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Sirdar supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sirdar would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
