Leon Nadeau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald Goff having to interfere. Ronald Goff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dirk Aponte in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Nordegg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sam Abraham to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute Leon Nadeau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronald Goff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dusty Cannon in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Connie Kimbrough saved Hectanooga from getting behind. If Dusty Cannon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the game, Darrell Samuel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Connie Kimbrough. Darrell Samuel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Kraig Chesnay hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, Nordegg's goal looked a bit too open when Dirk Aponte came free, but Ronald Goff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronald Goff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Nadeau in the 48th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leon Nadeau to make the kick off. Ronald Goff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Nadeau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dusty Cannon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the game, Nordegg's Dusty Cannon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Connie Kimbrough made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Darrell Samuel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Connie Kimbrough having to make a save. The attack was good, but when Dusty Cannon in the 74th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Darrell Samuel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Connie Kimbrough having to interfere. In the 78th match minute, Nordegg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sid Walls to maneuver through the defense. Dusty Cannon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Connie Kimbrough having to interfere. Leon Nadeau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Ronald Goff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
