Yale's Mohammad Hartley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paschal Noël in the 5th minute of play. Josh Saunders kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Paschal Noël sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mohammad Hartley came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Downsview's Barton Werner. But to his dismay, Barton Werner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 16th minute, Downsview's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Franklin Bourget fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Shon Hurt hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Franklin Bourget sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Corin Medley kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Barton Werner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ethan Harrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mohammad Hartley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barton Werner in the 35th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Downsview's goalkeeper Nigel Veilleux had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ethan Harrell. After 47 minutes of play, Yale's Franklin Bourget made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nigel Veilleux was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Franklin Bourget made the kick off in the second half. Nigel Veilleux took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franklin Bourget, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Yale defense, Paschal Noël kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mohammad Hartley. The Yale fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mohammad Hartley should have stopped the shot. With his leg Mohammad Hartley managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Downsview's Paschal Noël fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 65 minutes into the match, Downsview's goal looked a bit too open when Franklin Bourget came free, but Nigel Veilleux reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mohammad Hartley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paschal Noël in the 73rd minute. Nigel Veilleux showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franklin Bourget in the 75th minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Barton Werner ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mohammad Hartley was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Downsview walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
