Spectators: 6731 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Barton Werner started the match with the kick off. After having played for 5 minutes, Darrell Samuel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nordegg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Darrell Samuel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paschal Noël took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronald Goff. Ronald Goff dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Downsview's zone, Dusty Cannon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nigel Veilleux came out of the goal and Dusty Cannon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ronald Goff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barton Werner, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Darrell Samuel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Nigel Veilleux tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Sams kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Adolph Casey took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nigel Veilleux. Downsview's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience was convinced that Barton Werner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronald Goff was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Dusty Cannon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Nigel Veilleux tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Larry Denson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ronald Goff. Nordegg's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dusty Cannon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Barton Werner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 53rd match minute, Nordegg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kraig Chesnay to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Ronald Goff managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Downsview's Paschal Noël fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Paschal Noël in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ronald Goff, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Paschal Noël recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 64thth minute of the game Barton Werner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nordegg's Ronald Goff was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Dusty Cannon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 70 minutes into the match, Downsview's goal looked a bit too open when Dusty Cannon came free, but Nigel Veilleux reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Nordegg's Dusty Cannon in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Downsview's goalie prevented a goal. Downsview's Nigel Veilleux played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dusty Cannon in the 79th minute of play. After 81 played minutes Nordegg got a freekick which was hit by Kraig Chesnay. Barton Werner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald Goff having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Nordegg had won after a very even match.
