Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Graig Dunlap kicked off to start the match. Graig Dunlap received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Mohammad Hartley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Josh Saunders fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leslie Pope having to interfere. When Franklin Bourget came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Yale fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franklin Bourget couldn't finish the play. If Lyle Baldwin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leslie Pope showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franklin Bourget in the 27th minute of the match. The supporters of Coniston booed when Yale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richie Greer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Coniston's goalkeeper Leslie Pope had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ethan Harrell. In the 37th minute Graig Dunlap shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohammad Hartley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Ethan Harrell made a precise shot to the right of Leslie Pope. Coniston's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Mohammad Hartley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Graig Dunlap in the 45th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Coniston's Lyle Baldwin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mohammad Hartley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Franklin Bourget stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Franklin Bourget fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leslie Pope having to interfere. Leslie Pope showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ethan Harrell in the 60th minute of the match. Jon Ledford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Leslie Pope tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Coniston getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Jean Littlejohn hit a great ball. Rick Grandbois's late challenge caught a Yale's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 67th minute, Corin Medley sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Coniston's Leslie Pope didn't even have to move. After 71 minutes, Lyle Baldwin made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Yale's Mohammad Hartley tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 74th match minute, Coniston was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean Littlejohn to maneuver through the defense. Ethan Harrell struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Leslie Pope didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yale.
