Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Chauncey Dubé made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute of the match, Emmitt Lebrun got a very nice opportunity to score, but Harvey Rosenberg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Harvey Rosenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Avery Knight in the 5th minute of the match. Ronald McPherson's late challenge caught a Granville's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronald McPherson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th minute, Ronald McPherson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harvey Rosenberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emmitt Lebrun in the 10th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Granville's goal looked a bit too open when Floyd Gage came free, but Cyril Champagne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Emmitt Lebrun came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Granville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emmitt Lebrun couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Hobert Davidson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Granville's supporters rose to their feet, but Hobert Davidson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harvey Rosenberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 21st minute, Landon Story reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Harvey Rosenberg. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 24th minute Ralph Therriault suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Cyril Champagne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Floyd Gage, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harvey Rosenberg was a little too slow when Emmitt Lebrun got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 2-0. Avery Knight received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Harvey Rosenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Harvey Rosenberg managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Granville's Emmitt Lebrun fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Stoneham's Harvey Rosenberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Stoneham from getting a goal against them. 3-0 became the score in the 41st minute when Théophile Porter elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Théophile Porter might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Harvey Rosenberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Théophile Porter ran back to his position shaking his head. Graham Santana took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Harvey Rosenberg. Stoneham's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Harvey Rosenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emmitt Lebrun in the 62nd minute of the match. A collision led to Granville getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Emmitt Lebrun hit a great ball. When Emmitt Lebrun got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Granville. Harvey Rosenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emmitt Lebrun, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute Landon Story shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harvey Rosenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emmitt Lebrun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute Théophile Porter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harvey Rosenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harvey Rosenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Granville had played much better football throughout.
