After a rather tough play, Warriors AFC's Fernand Paimboeuf got a free kick in the 40th minute. Stan Quirion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stacy Rancourt in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute, Lyman Nielsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Ernest Poulin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sol Santos in the 54th minute of the match. The goalkeeper, Stan Quirion, was totally fooled by Stettler FC's Sandy Hobbs, who 59 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Stacy Rancourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Warriors AFC were furious when Mario Paquin was red carded, 66 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests.
