The Chelan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Jacques Mathews showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Norwood, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Hermitage AFC's Patrick Beyer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Landon Horn in the 28th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Hermitage AFC's zone, Eddie Rowley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrick Beyer came out of the goal and Eddie Rowley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Landon Horn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39thth minute of the game Landon Horn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hermitage AFC's Patrick Beyer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Chelan's Eddie Rowley got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andreas Norwood was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Chelan booed when Hermitage AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarred McWilliams didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Eddie Rowley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelan's supporters rose to their feet, but Eddie Rowley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrick Beyer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Landon Horn came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Chelan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Landon Horn couldn't finish the play. Patrick Beyer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eddie Rowley, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 76th minute Eddie Rowley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Beyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patrick Beyer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There was no doubt that Chelan were the better team. Chelan's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
