Spectators: 6728 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lenard Metcalf took the kick off in the first half of the match. With 4 minutes on the clock, Reginald Powell commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Willie Houston had in the 6thth minute some difficulties stopping Larry Sinclair's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Lenard Metcalf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Willie Houston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tracy Richer hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Willie Houston was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Larry Sinclair. If Felton Washington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Montmartre's Felton Washington got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felton Washington took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Willie Houston. Willie Houston dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lenard Metcalf in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Willie Houston saved Quebec AFC from getting behind. The supporters of Montmartre booed when Quebec AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudy Stone didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Quebec AFC's Willie Houston got control of the ball when Felton Washington tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Felton Washington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Lenard Metcalf managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montmartre's supporters rose to their feet, but Lenard Metcalf was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Willie Houston breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rory Benoit made a kick off. After some careless play in the Quebec AFC defense, Lenard Metcalf kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Willie Houston. The Quebec AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Willie Houston should have stopped the shot. In the 60th minute, Lino McWilliams hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rory Benoit got free with Ashley Gougeon in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 72 minutes, Perry Frank mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quebec AFC and the Montmartre players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 72 played minutes Quebec AFC got a freekick which was hit by Perry Frank. Larry Sinclair, 73 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Rudy Stone kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Rory Benoit had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ashley Gougeon. Montmartre's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rory Benoit was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Ashley Gougeon made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Rory Benoit sent off a good shot on target. Willie Houston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino McWilliams in the 92nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Lenard Metcalf's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Willie Houston was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Montmartre had won after a very even match.
