Romain Cliffords short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Quinn Sands to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Atlin FC! The referee gave Brancepeth FC a penalty, 13 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Basil Simard, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atlin FC's Ike Weldon. 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, Atlin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marquis Mallory came free, but Ike Weldon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Justin Atwood recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Brancepeth FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Shockley came free, but Quinn Sands reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romain Clifford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brancepeth FC's goalkeeper Quinn Sands, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Brancepeth FC's Quinn Sands played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Shockley in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Romain Clifford got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Justin Atwood hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, Giuseppe Adams got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 47th minute Homer Brand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ike Weldon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maximo Shockley made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Val LaCaille was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlin FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brancepeth FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Atlin FC's Val LaCaille got a free kick in the 51st minute. Atlin FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Homer Brand scored to the left of an out of position Ike Weldon, making the score, 2-2. Marquis Mallory could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Ike Weldon made a huge save. Quinn Sands took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximo Shockley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marquis Mallory struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Ike Weldon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brancepeth FC. Brancepeth FC's Quinn Sands played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Shockley in the 75th minute of play. Romain Clifford's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Quinn Sands read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Justin Atwood charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Justin Atwood the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 88 played minutes Atlin FC got a freekick which was hit by Justin Atwood. During the 91st minute of the match Justin Atwood completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Justin Atwood a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Justin Atwood hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
