Eric Croft struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Eric Gareau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hermitage AFC. When Buck Benoit fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hermitage AFC's protests and gave Buck Benoit a yellow card for diving instead. Buck Benoit kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Hans Dupéré recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mohamed Matlock got his second yellow card in the match during the 24th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 25 played minutes Axe Team got a freekick which was hit by Mohamed Matlock. Eric Gareau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Norwood, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the game, Antony Parizeau was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Axe Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hermitage AFC the free kick. The supporters of Hermitage AFC booed when Axe Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antony Parizeau didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Andreas Norwood sped through Axe Team's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eric Gareau. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andreas Norwood stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Hermitage AFC were awarded a corner. Telesphore Mueller went to the cornerflag to take it. Telesphore Mueller made a great header on Hermitage AFC's corner, it was just that Axe Team's Eric Gareau managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 65th match minute, Axe Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omer Salazar to maneuver through the defense. Hans Dupéré fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Beyer having to interfere. Hans Dupéré sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hermitage AFC's Patrick Beyer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Hermitage AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 83rd minute, Eric Croft left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hermitage AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Andreas Norwood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Eric Gareau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Axe Team's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Croft came free, but Eric Gareau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Axe Team players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hermitage AFC.
