Brancepeth FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Homer Brand was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Willie Houston breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 33 minutes, Rudy Stone mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quebec AFC and the Brancepeth FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th match minute, Quebec AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Perry Frank to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Basil Simard in the 37th minute really tested Willie Houston's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Rory Benoit came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Quebec AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rory Benoit couldn't finish the play. Micah McConnell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Quinn Sands tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rory Benoit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 48 minutes into the game, Homer Brand recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Willie Houston. Homer Brand showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Homer Brand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brancepeth FC's Marquis Mallory got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Marquis Mallory had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Willie Houston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marquis Mallory, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Thanks to some nice moves Rory Benoit could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Quinn Sands however easily saved by the left post. When Rudy Stone was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 72 minutes had been played. Rudy Stone kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Homer Brand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Willie Houston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Quebec AFC's zone, Marquis Mallory stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Willie Houston came out of the goal and Marquis Mallory tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Quinn Sands managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Quebec AFC's Rory Benoit fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 82 minutes, Homer Brand made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Quebec AFC's Willie Houston tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Homer Brand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willie Houston having to interfere. Willie Houston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Homer Brand, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marquis Mallory in the 94th minute of play forced Quebec AFC's goalkeeper Willie Houston to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Willie Houston showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Homer Brand in the 97th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Quebec AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Brancepeth FC.
