Keneth Marrero who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Eric Gareau when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 23rd minute, Hans Dupéré got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hans Dupéré received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ulysses Burgos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the game, Merlin Broussard recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eric Gareau. Merlin Broussard showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 41 minutes into the match, Axe Team's Mckinley Koehler sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulysses Burgos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Dupéré in the 43rd minute of play forced Argenta AFC's goalkeeper Ulysses Burgos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adam Dubé charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adam Dubé the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 44 played minutes Argenta AFC got a freekick which was hit by Adam Dubé. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Mckinley Koehler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Axe Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Mckinley Koehler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulysses Burgos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 45 played minutes Argenta AFC got a freekick which was hit by Adam Dubé. After a defensive mix-up in Argenta AFC's zone, Mckinley Koehler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulysses Burgos came out of the goal and Mckinley Koehler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Merlin Broussard in the 51st minute of play forced Axe Team's goalkeeper Eric Gareau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mckinley Koehler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Antony Parizeau fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Axe Team's protests and gave Antony Parizeau a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th match minute, Axe Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antony Parizeau to maneuver through the defense. If Mckinley Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Stacey Cinq-Mars had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Axe Team's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
