In the 11th match minute, Alfred AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florence Nicholson to maneuver through the defense. Felton Washington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lenard Metcalf in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jarrod Sargent saved Alfred AFC from getting behind. If Florence Nicholson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Montmartre's goalkeeper Ashley Gougeon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kareem Garcia. When Alfred AFC's Kareem Garcia in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Montmartre's goalie prevented a goal. After 29 minutes, Larry Sinclair mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montmartre and the Alfred AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Montmartre! The goalkeeper, Ashley Gougeon, was totally fooled by Alfred AFC's Eldridge Doherty, who 30 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Ashley Gougeon came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Alfred AFC's Kareem Garcia. But to his dismay, Kareem Garcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 42nd match minute, Alfred AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesse Lyle to maneuver through the defense. Ashley Gougeon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florence Nicholson in the 46th minute of play. In the 49th minute, Nathanial Hardy had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 57th minute, Lenard Metcalf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 58th minute, Florence Nicholson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Montmartre's Lino McWilliams got a free kick in the 64th minute. Earl Poirier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ashley Gougeon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. In the 74th match minute, Alfred AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Earl Poirier to maneuver through the defense. Montmartre's Lenard Metcalf got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
