In the 6th match minute, Alfred AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filiberto Blackman to maneuver through the defense. Savona's Dirk Bond couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 7th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Alfred AFC. Florence Nicholson's late challenge caught a Savona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Florence Nicholson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th minute, Florence Nicholson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lawrence Donahue hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Eldridge Doherty took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cruz Stearns. Savona's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Florence Nicholson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cruz Stearns read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. After having played for 22 minutes, Roy Huntley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Savona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roy Huntley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Alfred AFC's goalkeeper Jarrod Sargent had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roy Huntley. Kareem Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cruz Stearns having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Savona's zone, Kareem Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cruz Stearns came out of the goal and Kareem Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Kareem Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roy Huntley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Jarrod Sargent made a huge save. Alfred AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Brooks Darnell 43 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Roy Huntley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Jarrod Sargent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cruz Stearns was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Florence Nicholson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 59 minute of play. In the 63rd minute Florence Nicholson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cruz Stearns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Savona booed when Alfred AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eldridge Doherty didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Savona's Dirk Bond tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Roy Huntley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Savona's supporters rose to their feet, but Roy Huntley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarrod Sargent breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roy Huntley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarrod Sargent having to interfere. Jarrod Sargent stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roy Huntley's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. The supporters of Savona booed when Alfred AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Earl Poirier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cruz Stearns made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Kareem Garcia sent off a good shot on target. Cruz Stearns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florence Nicholson in the 97th minute of the match. The Alfred AFC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Savona from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
