The tension between the Hermitage AFC and the Brancepeth FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Brancepeth FC's Quinn Sands played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Norwood in the 40th minute of play. Patrick Beyer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Homer Brand in the 44th minute of the match. Buck Benoit kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 48th minute Homer Brand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Beyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

After a rather tough play, Hermitage AFC's Buck Benoit got a free kick in the 54th minute. If Marquis Mallory had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. In the 88th minute, one of Brancepeth FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Brancepeth FC. Homer Brand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Patrick Beyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
