Rory Benoit could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Eric Gareau made a huge save. Antony Parizeau kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. The supporters of Quebec AFC booed when Axe Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohamed Matlock didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eric Gareau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Micah McConnell in the 14th minute of the match. Eric Gareau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rory Benoit in the 18th minute. Micah McConnell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eric Gareau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. If Rory Benoit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rory Benoit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Eric Gareau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rory Benoit got free with Eric Gareau in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rory Benoit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Eric Gareau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th match minute, Axe Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antony Parizeau to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the match, Axe Team's goalkeeper Eric Gareau had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rory Benoit. After 39 played minutes Axe Team got a freekick which was hit by Gaétan Elias. Omer Salazar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Willie Houston. Quebec AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Micah McConnell made the kick off in the second half. When Mckinley Koehler fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Axe Team's protests and gave Mckinley Koehler a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Quebec AFC booed when Axe Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mckinley Koehler didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rory Benoit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 65 minutes, Hans Dupéré managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Axe Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hans Dupéré was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mohamed Matlock charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mohamed Matlock the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mohamed Matlock hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Rory Benoit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Eric Gareau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute Rory Benoit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Gareau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Quebec AFC's zone, Mckinley Koehler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Willie Houston came out of the goal and Mckinley Koehler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Micah McConnell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Gareau having to interfere.
