Willie Houston was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Willie Houston came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Alfred AFC's Kareem Garcia. But to his dismay, Kareem Garcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 22nd minute, Rudy Stone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute, Eldridge Doherty sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Quebec AFC's Willie Houston didn't even have to move. 25 minutes into the match, Quebec AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Nathanial Hardy came free, but Willie Houston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florence Nicholson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Willie Houston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rudy Stone kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. When Tad Desroches fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quebec AFC's protests and gave Tad Desroches a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Alfred AFC booed when Quebec AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tad Desroches didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Florence Nicholson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Willie Houston was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. A collision led to Quebec AFC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Micah McConnell hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Quebec AFC's zone, Florence Nicholson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Willie Houston came out of the goal and Florence Nicholson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kareem Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Earl Poirier kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Micah McConnell made a kick off. Willie Houston had great luck who in the 61stth minute grab hold of the ball when Florence Nicholson from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After a rather tough play, Quebec AFC's Tad Desroches got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Kareem Garcia scored 0-3 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Willie Houston, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Florence Nicholson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Willie Houston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Quebec AFC's goalkeeper Willie Houston, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Kareem Garcia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Micah McConnell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rory Benoit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarrod Sargent having to interfere. A collision led to Quebec AFC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Johnnie Souplet hit a great ball. In the 92nd match minute, Alfred AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Earl Poirier to maneuver through the defense. Micah McConnell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Alfred AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
