Dane Rader stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeffry Woodson's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Jeffry Woodson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Parker McDowell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louis Lebrun in the 10th minute of play. Jeffry Woodson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Gayle Manley came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Turin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gayle Manley couldn't finish the play. Louis Lebrun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Parker McDowell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gayle Manley struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Dane Rader didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Turin. In the 23rd minute, Clément Gibbs ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Parker McDowell was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Clément Gibbs struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Parker McDowell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sturgis. Gayle Manley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gayle Manley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dane Rader having to interfere. 37 minutes into the game, Leon Pennington was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Turin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sturgis the free kick. The supporters of Sturgis booed when Turin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Pennington didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sturgis's Trenton Lacroix couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 38th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Turin. Parker McDowell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Louis Lebrun in the 41st minute of the match. Dane Rader made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gayle Manley in the 43rd minute of play. After 45 minutes of play, Turin's Jeffry Woodson made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dane Rader was left in no man's land by his defense there! The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gayle Manley made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Louis Lebrun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 52 minutes, Kent Francoeur mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Turin and the Sturgis players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Turin getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Kent Francoeur hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clément Gibbs in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Parker McDowell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 57 minutes into the game, Jeffry Woodson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Dane Rader was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gayle Manley in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dane Rader saved Sturgis from getting behind. 67 minutes into the match, Sturgis's goal looked a bit too open when Gayle Manley came free, but Dane Rader reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeffry Woodson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeffry Woodson in the 78th minute of play forced Sturgis's goalkeeper Dane Rader to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sturgis's Dane Rader played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeffry Woodson in the 81st minute of play. In the 82nd match minute, Sturgis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Branden Fagan to maneuver through the defense. 83 minutes into the match, Gayle Manley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dane Rader. Sturgis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gayle Manley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 88th minute, Sturgis's Louis Lebrun dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. In the 94th minute Gayle Manley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dane Rader saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Turin were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sturgis for a fine match.
