Lionel McHugh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolph Schneider in the 3rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Kenora's zone, Roscoe George stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rhett Mullins came out of the goal and Roscoe George tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lionel McHugh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolph Schneider, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswaldo Bérubé in the 16th minute of play forced Barcelona Academy's goalkeeper Lionel McHugh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 minutes of play, Barcelona Academy's Garrett Gingras made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rhett Mullins was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodolph Schneider in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lionel McHugh saved Barcelona Academy from getting behind. In the 27th minute Roscoe George shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhett Mullins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lionel McHugh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolph Schneider, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rhett Mullins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roscoe George in the 35th minute of the match. Garrett Gingras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rhett Mullins having to interfere. Garrett Gingras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Rhett Mullins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kenora's Rhett Mullins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garrett Gingras in the 46th minute of play. Garrett Gingras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Rhett Mullins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Garrett Gingras to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Roscoe George dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rhett Mullins, 0-2. Rhett Mullins made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Garrett Gingras sent off a good shot on target. Lionel McHugh didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ariel Santana went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 62nd minute, Oswaldo Bérubé hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 68 in the game by Garrett Gingras from a close distance when the talented Rhett Mullins managed to make a qualified save. Kenora's players were relieved. Garrett Gingras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rhett Mullins having to interfere. Lionel McHugh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ariel Santana in the 73rd minute of the match. The supporters of Kenora booed when Barcelona Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noé Longpré didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 77 minutes, Ariel Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kenora's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ariel Santana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lionel McHugh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Santana in the 78th minute of play. Lamar Sapp hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. The supporters of Barcelona Academy booed when Kenora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolph Schneider didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lionel McHugh came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Kenora's Oswaldo Bérubé. But to his dismay, Oswaldo Bérubé quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Barcelona Academy's Roscoe George slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rhett Mullins. That made the score 2-3 after 89 minutes of play. Lionel McHugh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolph Schneider in the 92nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Roscoe George managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barcelona Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Roscoe George was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rhett Mullins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
