Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) Carmelo Shoemaker started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Evan Dufour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Isaac Flores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stacy Richmond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmelo Shoemaker in the 17th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Carmelo Shoemaker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shunacadie's supporters rose to their feet, but Carmelo Shoemaker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stacy Richmond breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20th minute, Hippolyte Rubin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Lamar Lentz fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atherley's protests and gave Lamar Lentz a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Atherley's Lamar Lentz got a free kick in the 21st minute. Atherley's Camille Binet got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carmelo Shoemaker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Stacy Richmond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 37 minutes, Samuel Bailey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shunacadie and the Atherley players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Shunacadie's Samuel Bailey got a free kick in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Shoemaker in the 43rd minute of play forced Atherley's goalkeeper Stacy Richmond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carmelo Shoemaker hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Camille Binet was the one to do the kick off. If Carmelo Shoemaker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hippolyte Rubin in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Stacy Richmond, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 58 minutes into the match, Carmelo Shoemaker notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Atherley's Stacy Richmond. Stacy Richmond was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. During the 64th minute of the match Lamar Lentz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lamar Lentz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Atherley's Lamar Lentz got a free kick in the 64th minute. Carmelo Shoemaker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Stacy Richmond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 73 minutes, Clemente Cordero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atherley and the Shunacadie players grew even worse after the yellow card. Clemente Cordero hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Carmelo Shoemaker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Stacy Richmond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Shunacadie's Carmelo Shoemaker ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Stacy Richmond. Stacy Richmond yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. After 80 minutes of play, Shunacadie's Hippolyte Rubin made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stacy Richmond was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Hippolyte Rubin in the 87th minute of play forced Atherley's goalkeeper Stacy Richmond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Atherley getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Camille Binet hit a great ball. In the 91st match minute, Atherley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emory Finn to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Shunacadie walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
