Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ronnie Starr, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sammy Tessier in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronnie Starr prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Curt Schwartz during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th match minute, Stonewall AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Curt Schwartz to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 58th minute Lyman Frazier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronnie Starr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. During the 78th minute of the match Jeremy Snyder completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jeremy Snyder a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Sammy Tessier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stonewall AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
