Barton Winter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barrows. Bobbie Pugh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kelvin Maurer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lonnie Womack having to interfere. Leo Gibbs hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Lonnie Womack showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kelvin Maurer, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Benedict Allain in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kelvin Maurer made a kick off. Benedict Allain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Kelvin Maurer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute Benedict Allain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lonnie Womack saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute, Benedict Allain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kelvin Maurer in the 70th minute of play forced Barrows's goalkeeper Lonnie Womack to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kelvin Maurer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lonnie Womack having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Kelvin Maurer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
