Kip Plourde took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luke Bauer. Labelle AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luke Bauer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lyman Frazier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lyman Frazier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luke Bauer having to interfere. Cletus Felder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Gale Sutherland made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lyman Frazier in the 21st minute of play forced Labelle AFC's goalkeeper Luke Bauer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sammy Tessier took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luke Bauer. Luke Bauer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 29th minute, Jeremy Snyder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute, Cletus Felder ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gale Sutherland was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. With a little luck, Forward's Gale Sutherland got control of the ball when Cletus Felder tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gale Sutherland was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Darryl Hutchins showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 35 minute of play. Lyman Frazier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the game, Lyman Frazier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Luke Bauer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Darryl Hutchins made a kick off. Darryl Hutchins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Labelle AFC booed when Forward was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kip Plourde didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Darryl Hutchins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Labelle AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Darryl Hutchins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gale Sutherland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 72 minutes into the match, Labelle AFC's Cletus Felder sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gale Sutherland narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 80thth minute of the game Darryl Hutchins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Forward's Gale Sutherland was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lyman Frazier got free with Luke Bauer in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Forward's Luke Bauer threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sammy Tessier, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 86thth minute of the game Darryl Hutchins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Forward's Gale Sutherland was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Eugene Villa fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Labelle AFC's protests and gave Eugene Villa a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Labelle AFC's Eugene Villa got a free kick in the 87th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Forward's Dwayne Bonneville tried to score from far away in the 88th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 92 played minutes Labelle AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ramon Ouellet. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
